Upstream Lab is a non-profit research lab based in Toronto, Canada dedicated to improving health and well-being of the population by addressing issues related to social determinants of health.
This was a redesign from an outdated WordPress website. This website is built using a customized WordPress design and template. There is an extensive research database and publications library dedicated to highlighting the lab’s past and ongoing work. The client regularly updates content on this website and has been so happy with the final result!
It was wonderful to work with Emily and her team! Our research lab's website needed a major overhaul and Emily completely took it to the next level. Our new website now has many useful functionalities, and is very easy to navigate. The outline also quickly directs the visitors' attention to our significant works and impacts, all the while maintaining its aesthetic. Emily was also very responsive and quickly addressed any of my inquiries and any requests for edits. I also liked how systematic she is in her approach (we shared a google doc to keep track of any edits & progress). She kindly walked our team through the steps to navigate the website's back-end, and made it easy for us (who practically have zero programming experience) to understand - granted, it also took a lot of patience on her part.
